Graduation_ Student Standing With Diplom

12th Grade

Senior year is all about how to help your student put their best foot forward. It is often the most stressful for students and families.  Starting early can is key!

DID YOU KNOW?

Most colleges and universities recommend submitting applications by November 1 (including those with rolling admissions).

There are more than 80 steps to take this year for applying to college.  It is time to tell the story.  How will you tell yours?

Self-Discovery-  By now many students have an idea of a possible direction of study.  If your students don't know yet, we will work with them to help identify some possibilities.

College Applications- Many applications (particularly in Florida) are due at the beginning of November.  This means that your students should be starting to work on the various elements with the support of their college consultant.

Timeline- Organization is key to meeting deadlines.  We help your student with a custom timeline based on the schools they are interested in.  We then set students up on our application tracker to help them stay organized through the process so that they can see each requirement for each school on their list. Parents will be able to monitor progress as well so that nothing falls through the cracks.

Extracurricular Activities- Because we have worked through the years to ensure these activities have meaning to your student, many will continue in their activities through Senior year.  We will work with them to more deeply explore their intended major or work to explore if they are just joining us.

Senior Tasks- There are tons of little details that Seniors have to make sure they check on and do during this year.  We try to help keep these organized so they can enjoy their remaining time with their peers.  This is supposed to be a fun year and we aim to help them enjoy it.

Essay- Our highly credentialed Essay Specialist works with your student to help them tell their story and find their voice.  As some schools begin to place less emphasis on standardized testing, being effective in articulating their passions and showing their personality and values through the essay will become increasingly important.

Financial Feasibility-  Being able to find the right fit for your student's interests may be where their focus lies, but parents are often concerned with the financial aspect as well.  Our easy-to-use technology helps students and families determine the true costs of college, evaluate the best financing options based on their unique financial situation and gain insight into key college value factors for the schools they are selecting.

Have you ever considered a Gap Year?  A gap year isn't just taking a year off, it is an intentional classroom break, to focus on the development of other skills including life, language, financial, travel, and many more possibilities.  Want to learn more?  GAP YEAR INFO
